Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor including excavation, paving, and landscaping for city infrastructure projects
- Operate light machinery (e.g., jackhammers, power saws) safely and efficiently
- Conduct routine inspections of public facilities and report maintenance needs
- Collaborate remotely on project planning and documentation using digital tools
- Ensure compliance with OSHA safety protocols and environmental regulations
- Assist in emergency response during severe weather or public safety events
- Maintain accurate work logs and progress reports through digital platforms
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent with 1+ years of construction/public works experience
- Valid Arizona Driver's License with clean driving record
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in extreme weather conditions
- Proficiency with digital tools (e.g., Microsoft Office, project management software)
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Basic knowledge of blueprints and construction terminology
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
