Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor tasks including excavation, paving, and equipment operation
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of public infrastructure
- Operate heavy machinery (backhoes, dump trucks, etc.) safely and efficiently
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on infrastructure improvement projects
- Adhere to OSHA safety protocols and environmental regulations
- Document daily operations using digital reporting tools (remote-friendly)
- Participate in emergency response during severe weather events
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid Florida Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Minimum 2 years construction/public works experience
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification preferred
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in extreme weather conditions
- Basic computer literacy for digital reporting (remote component)
- Strong mechanical aptitude and equipment troubleshooting skills
- Pass pre-employment background check and drug screening
