As a laborer, you will assist in various construction, maintenance, and repair projects throughout the city. Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor tasks including digging, lifting, carrying, and moving materials
- Assist in the maintenance of roads, sidewalks, and other public infrastructure
- Operate hand tools and light equipment such as shovels, rakes, and saws
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently
- Report any hazards or issues to the supervisor
- Assist in setting up and breaking down work sites
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to perform physically demanding work in various weather conditions
- Basic knowledge of construction and maintenance practices
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently
- Strong work ethic and reliability
- Must pass a background check and drug screening
- Previous experience in construction or public works is preferred
