Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor in construction, maintenance, and repair of public infrastructure
- Operate heavy equipment including backhoes, loaders, and graders under supervision
- Assist in asphalt paving, concrete work, and storm drain maintenance
- Conduct routine inspections of public facilities and report hazards
- Maintain safe work environments and adhere to OSHA standards
- Support emergency response during weather-related incidents
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on large-scale municipal projects
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid Arizona Driver's License with clean driving record
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds repeatedly and work in extreme weather conditions
- Basic knowledge of construction tools and equipment operation
- OSHA 10-Hour Construction certification preferred
- Ability to pass pre-employment physical and drug screening
- Experience in municipal public works or construction preferred
- Strong commitment to safety and teamwork
