Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor including excavation, paving, and concrete work
- Operate light machinery (sweepers, loaders, forklifts) safely
- Assist in storm drain maintenance and flood control projects
- Support recycling/sanitation operations and waste collection
- Conduct daily inspections of public infrastructure
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on urban beautification
- Adhere to OSHA safety protocols at all times
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid driver's license with clean record
- 1+ years construction/public works experience preferred
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds repeatedly
- Basic machinery operation certification a plus
- Strong work ethic in all weather conditions
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Must be a DC resident or willing to relocate
