Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor including excavation, grading, and material handling for municipal infrastructure projects
- Operate light machinery (e.g., jackhammers, saws, compressors) safely and efficiently
- Assist in road maintenance, sidewalk repairs, and drainage system upkeep
- Conduct site preparation and cleanup activities following OSHA safety standards
- Monitor and report equipment malfunctions or hazardous conditions
- Support traffic control and public safety during construction operations
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training preferred
- Valid California Driver's License with clean record
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding tasks in varying weather
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification or willingness to obtain
- Basic mechanical aptitude and equipment operation experience
- Strong commitment to workplace safety protocols
- Ability to work collaboratively in diverse team environments
