Responsibilities
- Operate heavy machinery (excavators, graders, dump trucks) for construction and maintenance projects
- Perform manual labor including excavation, grading, asphalt repair, and storm drain maintenance
- Adhere to OSHA safety protocols and wear required PPE at all times
- Assist in traffic control setups during road maintenance operations
- Conduct routine inspections of public infrastructure and report hazards
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet project deadlines
- Maintain equipment cleanliness and basic preventative maintenance
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid Texas Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Minimum 2 years construction/maintenance experience
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification preferred
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in extreme weather conditions
- Basic knowledge of blueprints and site plans
- Must pass pre-employment physical and drug screening
