As a Public Works Laborer, you will be the backbone of our municipal operations, ensuring our roads, drainage systems, and public spaces remain safe and accessible for everyone.
Responsibilities
- Operate Heavy Machinery: Safely operate rollers, graders, and asphalt pavers under the supervision of skilled operators.
- General Labor: Perform manual labor duties including loading, unloading, and preparing construction materials on job sites.
- Maintenance: Assist in the maintenance of roads, streets, and public facilities to ensure safety and accessibility.
- Snow & Ice Control: Assist in snow removal and ice control operations during the winter months.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to strict safety protocols and OSHA regulations at all times to maintain a hazard-free work environment.
- Site Clean-up: Clean work sites and remove debris to maintain a professional and organized environment.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- License: Valid Nevada Driverβs License with a clean driving record.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to perform heavy manual labor in various weather conditions, including heat, cold, and rain.
- Experience: Previous experience in construction, landscaping, or public works is highly preferred.
- Background Check: Must pass a background check and drug screen.
- Work Ethic: Strong work ethic, reliability, and a willingness to learn new skills quickly.
