Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor tasks including excavation, grading, and paving operations
- Operate heavy machinery safely (e.g., dump trucks, compactors, jackhammers)
- Assist in construction and maintenance of roads, sidewalks, and drainage systems
- Conduct daily equipment inspections and basic maintenance
- Follow strict safety protocols and OSHA compliance standards
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet project deadlines
- Document work activities and maintain site cleanliness
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid Tennessee driver's license with clean record
- Minimum 1 year construction/public works experience preferred
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds repeatedly
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Strong mechanical aptitude and equipment operation skills
- Ability to work in all weather conditions and flexible schedule
- Pass pre-employment physical and drug screening
