Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor tasks including excavation, grading, and material handling for infrastructure projects
- Operate light equipment such as jackhammers, saws, and compactors under supervision
- Assist in traffic control, signage installation, and work zone setup
- Maintain cleanliness and safety at job sites including debris removal and hazard identification
- Collaborate with crew members to complete daily work orders efficiently
- Document work activities and report equipment malfunctions or safety concerns
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Minimum 1 year of construction or public works experience preferred
- Valid California Class C Driver's License
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding tasks in all weather conditions
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification or willingness to obtain within 30 days
- Pass pre-employment physical and drug screening
- Basic knowledge of hand/power tools and safety protocols
