Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor tasks including excavation, paving, and sidewalk repairs
- Operate light equipment such as jackhammers, tampers, and street sweepers
- Assist in traffic control and work zone setup following OSHA standards
- Maintain public spaces including parks, drainage systems, and municipal facilities
- Participate in emergency response during severe weather events
- Complete daily equipment inspections and basic maintenance checks
- Document work activities and maintain project logs accurately
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid Texas Class C Driver's License with clean record
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding tasks
- Experience with hand/power tools and construction equipment preferred
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to work outdoors in extreme weather conditions
- Strong teamwork skills and commitment to safety protocols
- Basic math skills for material calculations and measurements
