Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance of streets, sidewalks, and public spaces
- Operate heavy machinery including dump trucks, loaders, and snowplows
- Assist in stormwater management and drainage system upkeep
- Execute landscaping and park maintenance duties
- Respond to emergency weather conditions (snow/ice removal)
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on infrastructure projects
- Adhere to strict safety protocols and OSHA standards
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Valid Illinois Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Minimum 2 years experience in construction/public works
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding tasks
- Basic knowledge of heavy equipment operation
- Strong commitment to public service and community values
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Ability to work flexible shifts including nights/weekends
