Responsibilities
- Perform street maintenance including pothole repairs, crack sealing, and striping
- Operate heavy machinery (backhoes, dump trucks, graders) with proper safety protocols
- Assist in stormwater management systems inspection and maintenance
- Conduct park and facility upkeep including landscaping and equipment repair
- Participate in snow removal and emergency response operations
- Complete daily equipment maintenance and safety inspections
- Document work activities and maintain accurate service records
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid Kansas Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Minimum 2 years experience in public works or construction
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification preferred
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in extreme weather conditions
- Basic mechanical aptitude for equipment troubleshooting
- Strong commitment to workplace safety standards
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
