Responsibilities
- Perform street maintenance, pothole repairs, and snow removal operations
- Operate heavy machinery including dump trucks, loaders, and street sweepers
- Install and repair traffic signals, signage, and street lighting
- Conduct routine inspections of public infrastructure and document findings
- Collaborate with engineering teams on municipal improvement projects
- Ensure compliance with OSHA safety protocols and environmental regulations
- Respond to emergency weather events and disaster recovery operations
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required
- Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with airbrakes endorsement
- Minimum 2 years' experience in construction, landscaping, or related field
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding tasks
- Basic knowledge of traffic control and work zone safety procedures
- Pass pre-employment background check and drug screening
- Willingness to work flexible schedules including nights/weekends
- Certification in confined space entry or hazardous materials preferred
