Responsibilities
- Perform street maintenance including pothole repair, signage installation, and pavement marking
- Operate heavy equipment safely (backhoes, dump trucks, graders) with proper training
- Assist in stormwater management projects and drainage system maintenance
- Execute park maintenance tasks including landscaping, playground equipment repair, and trail upkeep
- Participate in snow removal and emergency response operations during inclement weather
- Conduct routine inspections of public facilities and report maintenance needs
- Adhere to all OSHA safety protocols and municipal regulations
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid driver's license with clean record
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physically demanding tasks
- Experience with construction equipment or willingness to obtain certification
- Basic knowledge of hand/power tools and maintenance procedures
- Must pass pre-employment physical and drug screening
- Ability to work in various weather conditions and outdoor environments
