Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor in street maintenance, park upkeep, and facility repairs
- Operate light machinery (e.g., mowers, sweepers, hand tools) safely and efficiently
- Assist in stormwater management and drainage system maintenance
- Support waste collection and recycling operations
- Conduct routine inspections and report infrastructure issues
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on public projects
- Maintain clean and organized work areas
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Valid Kansas driver's license with clean driving record
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding tasks
- Experience with hand/power tools and light machinery preferred
- Basic knowledge of safety protocols and OSHA standards
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Ability to work in all weather conditions
- Willingness to obtain required certifications (e.g., CDL if applicable)
