Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance of streets, sidewalks, and public facilities
- Operate light/heavy machinery including sweepers, loaders, and dump trucks
- Assist in snow removal and emergency weather response operations
- Conduct site inspections and document maintenance activities
- Collaborate with cross-departmental teams on infrastructure projects
- Adhere to OSHA safety protocols and environmental standards
- Participate in community beautification initiatives
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Valid Massachusetts Class B driver's license
- 1+ years of construction/maintenance experience preferred
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in all weather conditions
- Basic knowledge of hand/power tools and equipment operation
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Must pass background check and drug screening
