Responsibilities
- Operate heavy equipment (backhoes, loaders, graders) for construction/maintenance projects
- Perform manual labor including excavation, paving, and storm drain maintenance
- Adhere to strict safety protocols and OSHA standards
- Conduct routine inspections of municipal infrastructure
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on public works initiatives
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used
- Respond to emergency repairs during inclement weather
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid Arizona Class C Driver's License (Class A preferred)
- Minimum 2 years construction/maintenance experience
- Certification in heavy equipment operation (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in extreme weather conditions
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification
- Pass background check and drug screening
