Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance on city streets, sidewalks, and storm drainage systems
- Operate heavy machinery (e.g., dump trucks, graders, excavators) safely and efficiently
- Assist in snow removal and winter weather emergency response
- Conduct park maintenance including landscaping, irrigation, and facility upkeep
- Support construction projects by preparing sites and managing materials
- Adhere to OSHA safety protocols and environmental regulations
- Document work activities and submit accurate daily reports
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required
- Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with airbrake endorsement
- Minimum 2 years' experience in construction, landscaping, or municipal maintenance
- Certification in heavy equipment operation preferred
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in extreme weather conditions
- Strong mechanical aptitude and equipment troubleshooting skills
- Clean driving record and ability to pass background check
- Basic computer literacy for reporting systems
