Responsibilities
- Perform street repairs, drainage maintenance, and infrastructure inspections
- Operate heavy machinery including backhoes, dump trucks, and street sweepers
- Assist in storm response and emergency recovery operations
- Maintain public spaces including parks and recreational facilities
- Document work activities and submit progress reports
- Adhere to OSHA safety protocols and environmental regulations
- Collaborate with cross-departmental teams on municipal projects
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid Louisiana driver's license with clean record
- Minimum 1 year experience in construction, landscaping, or public works
- Certification in heavy equipment operation preferred
- Ability to work outdoors in extreme weather conditions
- Strong physical stamina and ability to lift 50+ pounds
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Basic knowledge of GIS mapping systems a plus
