Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor tasks including excavation, paving, and facility maintenance
- Operate heavy machinery (backhoes, dump trucks) with proper safety protocols
- Conduct routine inspections of public infrastructure and document findings
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on infrastructure improvement projects
- Maintain accurate digital records and reports through our remote portal
- Adhere to OSHA standards and city safety regulations
- Participate in emergency response operations during severe weather events
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Valid Kentucky driver's license with clean record
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding tasks
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification preferred
- Experience with heavy equipment operation or similar field work
- Basic proficiency with digital reporting tools (remote-friendly)
- Strong communication skills for team collaboration
- Flexibility to work variable schedules including weekends when needed
