Responsibilities
- Perform heavy construction tasks including trenching, grading, and concrete work
- Operate heavy machinery (backhoes, excavators, dump trucks) with proper certifications
- Install and maintain public utilities (water lines, storm drains)
- Conduct daily safety inspections and maintain OSHA compliance
- Collaborate with engineering teams on infrastructure improvement projects
- Respond to emergency repairs during extreme weather events
- Maintain accurate project documentation and time logs
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Minimum 2 years heavy equipment operation experience
- Valid Class A CDL license
- OSHA 30-hour construction certification
- Ability to lift 75+ pounds and work in extreme temperatures
- Tucson Water/Wastewater Operator certification preferred
- Clean driving record and background check
- Ability to pass pre-employment physical and drug screen
