Responsibilities
- Perform excavation, grading, and paving tasks for road maintenance projects
- Operate light machinery including jackhammers, saws, and compactors
- Install/repair sidewalks, drainage systems, and traffic control devices
- Manage debris removal and site cleanup according to OSHA standards
- Collaborate with engineering teams on infrastructure improvement initiatives
- Conduct daily equipment safety inspections and preventive maintenance
- Document project progress and material usage via digital reporting systems
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid Georgia driver's license with clean record
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in extreme weather conditions
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification preferred
- Basic mechanical aptitude for equipment operation
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities
- Pass pre-employment physical and drug screening
- Willingness to work flexible shifts including weekends
