Responsibilities
- Perform daily maintenance of city roads, sidewalks, and drainage systems
- Operate light machinery (mowers, sweepers, hand tools) safely and efficiently
- Assist in emergency storm response and snow removal operations
- Document field activities via mobile apps and remote reporting systems
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on infrastructure projects
- Adhere to OSHA safety protocols and environmental standards
- Participate in remote training sessions for new equipment/software
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Valid North Carolina driver's license with clean record
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physical labor in varying weather
- Basic computer skills for remote reporting (email, mobile apps)
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification preferred
- Experience with public works or municipal operations a plus
- Strong problem-solving and communication abilities
- Must pass pre-employment physical and background check
