Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor including excavation, debris removal, and equipment operation
- Conduct routine inspections of public infrastructure (roads, bridges, utilities)
- Assist in emergency response during weather-related incidents
- Maintain accurate field documentation and safety compliance records
- Collaborate with engineering teams on project implementation
- Operate heavy machinery (backhoes, graders) with proper certifications
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid New York State Driver's License
- OSHA 10-Hour Construction certification preferred
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in all weather conditions
- Basic mechanical aptitude and equipment maintenance knowledge
- Experience with GIS mapping or digital reporting tools a plus
