Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor including excavation, grading, and paving operations
- Operate light machinery (e.g., jackhammers, power saws, trenchers) with proper safety protocols
- Maintain and repair public infrastructure including sidewalks, drainage systems, and traffic signals
- Assist in storm cleanup, snow removal, and emergency response operations
- Follow all OSHA safety guidelines and maintain clean, organized work sites
- Complete daily equipment inspections and basic maintenance tasks
- Collaborate with crew members to meet project deadlines efficiently
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required
- Minimum 1 year of construction/public works labor experience preferred
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform strenuous physical activity
- Basic knowledge of hand/power tools and construction materials
- OSHA 10-hour certification (or willingness to obtain within 30 days)
- Ability to work in all weather conditions and flexible schedule
- Must pass pre-employment physical and drug screening
