Responsibilities
- Operate heavy machinery and equipment for road maintenance and construction projects
- Perform manual labor including digging, lifting, and landscaping tasks
- Conduct routine inspections of public facilities and report maintenance needs
- Ensure compliance with OSHA safety protocols and city regulations
- Assist in emergency response during severe weather events
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams for efficient project delivery
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Valid Kentucky driver's license with clean record
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly
- Experience with construction or public works preferred
- OSHA 10-hour certification within 6 months of hire
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Basic knowledge of hand/power tools
