Responsibilities
- Operate heavy machinery (backhoes, graders, dump trucks) for infrastructure projects
- Perform manual labor including excavation, grading, and concrete work
- Conduct routine maintenance on parks, streets, and public facilities
- Adhere to OSHA safety protocols and municipal standards
- Assist with emergency storm response and disaster recovery efforts
- Complete daily equipment inspection and maintenance reports
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on municipal projects
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid New Mexico Commercial Driver's License (Class B) with airbrake endorsement
- Minimum 2 years of construction/public works experience
- Certification in OSHA 10-Hour Construction preferred
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in extreme weather conditions
- Strong mechanical aptitude and equipment operation skills
- Pass pre-employment physical and background check
