Responsibilities
- Operate heavy machinery (excavators, rollers, graders) for infrastructure projects
- Perform manual labor including excavation, grading, and asphalt paving
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of public facilities
- Adhere strictly to OSHA and CAL/OSHA safety protocols
- Collaborate with engineering teams on large-scale municipal projects
- Assist in emergency response during weather-related incidents
- Maintain accurate work documentation and equipment logs
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of public works/construction experience
- Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Certification in heavy equipment operation preferred
- OSHA 10/30 Hour Construction certification required
- Ability to lift 75+ pounds and work in extreme weather conditions
- Pass pre-employment physical and drug screening
- Basic knowledge of blueprint reading and survey markers
- U.S. citizenship or legal work authorization
