Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor tasks including street sweeping, park maintenance, and landscape cleanup
- Operate light machinery such as sweepers, mowers, and hand tools safely and efficiently
- Assist in repairing sidewalks, curbs, and other public infrastructure
- Support storm drain cleaning and flood control maintenance activities
- Ensure work areas comply with safety protocols and environmental regulations
- Participate in emergency response during severe weather events
- Maintain accurate records of materials used and tasks completed
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid California driver's license with clean driving record
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physical labor in varying weather conditions
- Basic knowledge of hand tools and light equipment operation
- Must pass pre-employment physical and background check
- Experience in construction, landscaping, or municipal maintenance preferred
- Ability to work independently and follow detailed instructions
