Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor for street maintenance, drainage systems, and public facility repairs
- Operate heavy machinery (e.g., excavators, dump trucks) with proper safety protocols
- Assist in construction projects including concrete work, asphalt paving, and signage installation
- Maintain clean and safe work zones following OSHA standards
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet project deadlines
- Conduct routine equipment inspections and basic maintenance
- Document daily work activities and material usage
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid Texas Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Minimum 1 year of construction or public works experience preferred
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding tasks in varied weather
- OSHA 10-Hour Construction certification (or willingness to obtain within 30 days)
- Strong understanding of safety regulations and best practices
- Ability to pass pre-employment background check and drug screening
- Basic math skills for material calculations and inventory management
