Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor tasks such as excavation, paving, asphalt laying, and concrete work.
- Operate heavy equipment and hand tools, including jackhammers, rollers, and excavators, in accordance with safety protocols.
- Assist in traffic control operations, including setting up cones, signs, and barriers to ensure worker and public safety.
- Perform street sweeping, cleaning, and maintenance of public rights-of-way.
- Ensure job sites are clean, organized, and free of hazards at the end of each shift.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members to ensure project goals are met efficiently.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Valid California Class C Driver’s License is mandatory.
- Physical ability to lift 50+ lbs frequently and work outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Experience with basic construction equipment or heavy machinery is a plus but not required.
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
