Responsibilities
- Operate city-provided heavy equipment (excavators, loaders, graders)
- Perform manual labor on infrastructure projects (road repairs, drainage systems)
- Conduct routine equipment maintenance and safety inspections
- Assist in site preparation and material handling operations
- Adhere to OSHA and municipal safety protocols
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on project timelines
- Document daily work activities and material usage
Qualifications
- Valid California Class C driver's license
- Minimum 1 year equipment operation experience
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification preferred
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in outdoor conditions
- Basic knowledge of construction materials and methods
- Pass pre-employment physical and drug screening
- High school diploma or equivalent required
