Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor for street maintenance, park development, and utility projects
- Operate light equipment (e.g., jackhammers, saws) safely and efficiently
- Assist in traffic control and safety zone setup for construction sites
- Load/unload materials and maintain clean, organized work areas
- Support stormwater management and drainage system maintenance
- Collaborate with skilled tradespeople on municipal improvement projects
- Adhere to OSHA and city safety protocols at all times
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum 1 year construction/maintenance experience preferred
- Valid California Driver's License with clean record
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in various weather conditions
- Basic knowledge of hand/power tools and construction materials
- Strong teamwork skills with ability to follow written/verbal instructions
