Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor tasks including excavation, grading, and material handling
- Operate light machinery (e.g., jackhammers, saws, pressure washers) safely and efficiently
- Assist in infrastructure repairs, street maintenance, and stormwater management
- Maintain work zones with proper safety signage and barricade placement
- Participate in emergency response during severe weather events
- Conduct routine inspections and report facility/maintenance issues
- Adhere to OSHA regulations and department safety protocols
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid Missouri driver's license with clean driving record
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding tasks
- Basic knowledge of construction tools and equipment operation
- Experience in public works, construction, or related field preferred
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Pass pre-employment physical and background check
- OSHA 10-hour certification preferred
