Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor tasks including excavation, paving, and landscape maintenance
- Operate light machinery (backhoes, graders, dump trucks) under supervision
- Assist in road repair, sidewalk installation, and storm drain maintenance
- Ensure compliance with OSHA safety protocols and city regulations
- Prepare job sites and maintain equipment cleanliness
- Document daily progress and materials usage
- Respond to emergency weather-related infrastructure repairs
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Valid Pennsylvania driver's license with clean record
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in extreme weather conditions
- Basic mechanical knowledge for equipment troubleshooting
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Pass pre-employment physical and background check
- Pennsylvania Class A CDL preferred (training available)
- 1+ years construction/public works experience preferred
