Responsibilities
- Operate heavy machinery including excavators, loaders, and graders for excavation and grading tasks
- Install and maintain underground utility systems including water mains, storm drains, and sewer lines
- Perform asphalt/concrete repairs, road markings, and traffic signal maintenance
- Execute erosion control measures and landscape restoration projects
- Conduct daily equipment inspections and safety compliance checks
- Collaborate with engineering teams on public infrastructure improvement initiatives
- Document project progress and maintain accurate work logs
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certification preferred
- Minimum 2 years construction/public works labor experience
- Valid California Class C Driver's License (Class A/B highly desirable)
- OSHA 10/30 certification or willingness to obtain within 30 days
- Ability to lift 75+ pounds and perform physically demanding tasks in all weather conditions
- Proficiency with hand/power tools and basic survey equipment
- Strong commitment to workplace safety protocols
- Ability to pass pre-employment physical and drug screening
