Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor for street maintenance, park upkeep, and facility repairs
- Operate light machinery (jackhammers, saws, trucks) under supervision
- Assist in construction projects including sidewalk repairs and drainage systems
- Maintain safe work zones and comply with OSHA regulations
- Support emergency response during weather-related incidents
- Document work activities and maintain equipment logs
- Collaborate with skilled trades on infrastructure improvement projects
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid California Class C driver's license
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding tasks
- Basic knowledge of construction safety protocols
- Ability to work in various weather conditions and outdoor environments
- Must pass pre-employment physical and background check
- Experience with hand/power tools or landscaping preferred
- OSHA 10-hour certification a plus
