Responsibilities
- Operate heavy machinery including street sweepers, dump trucks, and snow removal equipment
- Perform road maintenance, pothole repairs, and sidewalk installations
- Conduct park maintenance, landscaping, and waste management operations
- Assist in stormwater management and drainage system upkeep
- Adhere to OSHA safety protocols and maintain equipment logs
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams during emergency response initiatives
- Complete daily work orders and documentation accurately
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid Michigan driver's license with clean driving record
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification preferred
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in extreme weather conditions
- Experience with heavy equipment operation or similar labor roles
- Basic knowledge of municipal infrastructure systems
- Strong communication skills and ability to follow precise instructions
- Must pass pre-employment physical and background check
