Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor tasks including street sweeping, pothole repair, and park maintenance
- Operate light machinery such as lawnmowers, leaf blowers, and power tools
- Collect and dispose of waste materials following safety protocols
- Assist in stormwater drainage system inspections and maintenance
- Support emergency response efforts during weather events
- Conduct routine inspections of public facilities and report hazards
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on infrastructure projects
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid Tennessee driver's license with clean driving record
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physical labor in various weather conditions
- Basic knowledge of hand tools and power equipment operation
- Strong commitment to workplace safety standards
- Ability to work independently and follow written instructions
- Willingness to obtain required certifications (e.g., flagging)
- Previous municipal or construction experience preferred
