Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain heavy machinery (snow plows, street sweepers, loaders)
- Perform routine inspections and repairs of municipal infrastructure
- Execute landscaping and groundskeeping for public parks and facilities
- Respond to emergency weather conditions and disaster recovery efforts
- Ensure compliance with OSHA and municipal safety protocols
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on infrastructure projects
- Document work activities and maintain equipment logs
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Valid Massachusetts Class B driver's license
- Minimum 2 years heavy equipment operation experience
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification preferred
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in extreme weather conditions
- Basic knowledge of municipal infrastructure systems
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Must pass background check and physical fitness assessment
