Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance on streets, sidewalks, and drainage systems
- Operate light machinery (e.g., lawn mowers, sweepers) and hand tools
- Assist in storm cleanup and emergency response operations
- Conduct inspections of public infrastructure and report hazards
- Support park beautification and public space upkeep projects
- Follow all safety protocols and maintain equipment
- Collaborate with cross-departmental teams on city initiatives
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid Louisiana driver's license with clean record
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding tasks
- Basic knowledge of construction/maintenance tools
- Strong work ethic and reliability in all weather conditions
- Ability to follow verbal/written instructions and safety procedures
- Preferred: 1+ years in landscaping, construction, or municipal work
