Responsibilities
- Perform road maintenance, drainage repairs, and street sweeping operations
- Operate heavy machinery including dump trucks, loaders, and backhoes
- Assist in storm response and emergency infrastructure repairs
- Conduct routine inspections of public works equipment
- Maintain accurate work logs and safety documentation
- Collaborate with cross-departmental teams for coordinated projects
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Minimum 2 years heavy equipment operation experience
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification preferred
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in extreme weather
- Pass pre-employment physical and background check
- Kentucky residency required per municipal policy
