Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain heavy equipment (bulldozers, graders, dump trucks) for infrastructure projects
- Perform manual labor including excavation, paving, and landscaping in public spaces
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of city facilities and drainage systems
- Enforce safety protocols and maintain clean job sites per OSHA standards
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on municipal improvement initiatives
- Document work activities and maintain accurate project records
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid California Class C Driver's License with clean record
- Minimum 1 year experience in construction or public works
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification preferred
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in extreme weather conditions
- Basic knowledge of hand/power tools and equipment operation
- Pass pre-employment physical and background check
