Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor tasks including excavation, grading, and landscaping for municipal projects
- Operate light equipment (dump trucks, loaders, mowers) following strict safety protocols
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of public infrastructure (sidewalks, signage, drainage systems)
- Assist in emergency response operations during severe weather events
- Prepare work sites, manage materials inventory, and ensure proper waste disposal
- Document work activities and submit daily progress reports to supervisors
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to coordinate project timelines and resources
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; vocational certification in construction/maintenance preferred
- Valid Colorado driver's license with clean driving record
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding tasks in varied weather conditions
- Experience with hand/power tools and basic equipment operation
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification (or willingness to obtain within 90 days)
- Strong commitment to workplace safety and regulatory compliance
- Ability to read blueprints and follow technical instructions
