Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor tasks including digging, shoveling, lifting, and moving construction materials
- Operate light equipment (e.g., jackhammers, saws, tampers) and hand tools safely
- Assist in road repair, sidewalk installation, park maintenance, and storm drain projects
- Implement traffic control measures and maintain job site safety protocols
- Participate in emergency response activities during weather events
- Complete daily equipment inspections and maintenance reports
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet project deadlines
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid California Class C Driver's License with clean driving record
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding tasks in all weather conditions
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification preferred
- Experience with basic construction tools and equipment operation
- Ability to follow written/verbal instructions and maintain detailed records
- Pass pre-employment physical and background check
