Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor for road construction/maintenance including asphalt patching, pothole repair, and signage installation
- Operate light machinery (jackhammers, saws, compactors) under supervision
- Assist in storm drain cleaning, pipe installation, and flood control projects
- Maintain public facilities including parks, sidewalks, and municipal buildings
- Follow OSHA safety protocols and maintain organized work zones
- Participate in emergency response for weather-related infrastructure issues
- Complete daily equipment maintenance and safety inspections
Qualifications
- Valid Texas Class C Driver's License (CDL preferred)
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding tasks
- Basic knowledge of hand/power tools and construction materials
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED accepted)
- Pass pre-employment physical and drug screening
- Ability to work in extreme weather conditions (heat, humidity, rain)
- Willingness to obtain required certifications (training provided)
- Strong teamwork ethic and ability to follow instructions
