Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor including excavation, grading, and concrete work for infrastructure projects
- Operate light machinery (e.g., jackhammers, saws, pressure washers) safely and efficiently
- Maintain public spaces including parks, trails, and storm drainage systems
- Assist in emergency response activities during weather events or public safety incidents
- Follow OSHA safety protocols and maintain clean, organized job sites
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on public improvement projects
- Complete daily equipment inspections and maintenance reports
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum 1 year of construction or public works experience preferred
- Valid Arizona Driver's License with clean driving record
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks in varied weather conditions
- OSHA 10-Hour Construction Certification (or willingness to obtain within 30 days)
- Basic knowledge of hand/power tools and equipment operation
- Ability to pass pre-employment physical and background check
