Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor including excavation, grading, and paving operations
- Operate heavy machinery safely (e.g., backhoes, dump trucks) with proper training
- Install/maintain public infrastructure (sidewalks, drainage systems, traffic signs)
- Assist in emergency storm response and debris removal
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of public facilities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on infrastructure projects
- Adhere to all OSHA safety protocols and city regulations
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Valid Arizona driver's license with clean record
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in extreme weather conditions
- Experience with construction tools and equipment operation preferred
- Basic knowledge of safety standards and procedures
- Ability to pass pre-employment physical and background check
- Strong work ethic and commitment to public service
