Responsibilities
- Perform heavy manual labor including excavation, trenching, and material handling
- Operate light machinery (e.g., jackhammers, power tools, dump trucks) safely
- Assist in street repairs, sidewalk maintenance, and snow/ice removal
- Support sanitation operations including waste collection and recycling
- Conduct routine inspections of public infrastructure
- Adhere to OSHA safety standards and city protocols
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on emergency response projects
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid Minnesota driver's license with clean record
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding tasks
- Experience with hand/power tools or construction preferred
- Availability for flexible shifts including nights/weekends
- Strong attention to safety and detail
- Basic math and communication skills
